A servo driven screwdriver has an automatic feed for screws and has a front mounted locating flange pressed onto the screw site and with automatic connection to the screw drive when the tool is pressed into position. The screw drive is released when the pressure is released on the tool. The servo motor is connected to the screw drive via a reduction gearing and the tool is operated via a pistol grip switch. The screw cannot be turned unless the tool is pressed onto the site.
