A laundry drier comprises: (a) a laundry drum mounted to be rotatable about a horizontal axis and having an air inlet in the drum end wall, and (b) a stationary air feed duct communicating with the inlet with an annular seal between the two. The seal has a resilient lip which: (i) in a relaxed state is directed radially of the drum when viewed in cross section; which has: (ii) a sealing portion with a textile covering at that wall; and which has: (iii) a freedom of axial movement to compensate for tolerances between drum and duct.
