The powder coating process involves covering the strips (1,2) with powder by an electrostatic process and then heating to melt the powder. Two strips are connected by spacers (3) in such a manner that a Faraday cage is formed.The under or inner sides (5) of the strips, which are later uncovered, are therefore not coated. The spacers may be made of metal and may be arranged so that strips can be added by them. Due to the Faraday cage, the field lines do not extend inward, and therefore the powder cannot reach the inner surfaces.
