The telescopic mast is composed from several tubes which slide axially in each other. The lower tube having the largest cross section serves for the storage of the all the other tubes. The tubes are fitted with assembly clips (30) each of which comprise a radial housing for receiving a locking peg (36) acted on by a spring (40). There is a hole (44) for the introduction of a clip fixing pin (34) in a tube orifice (50,52). A support face (54) serves as a travel end stop for the adjacent tube.
