The procedure consists of feeding a plastic film (110) which forms the walls of the bag and delivering closing strip (30, 40) and slider assemblies on supports (26, 28) aligned with the bag walls. During the procedure a fold is made in the plastic film and the closing strip and slider assembly are inserted into the concave part of the fold corresponding to the outer surface of the bag and fixed in place before the film is delivered to a horizontal or vertical bag forming or form, fill and seal machine.
