The bay comprises a frame containing the bay frame which carries a glazed part (2) sealed by watertight joints (4). The frame is provided on the inside with a deflector (5) along each of its side uprights. The lower end of the deflectors end in an interior drainage collector (8) extending along the lower edge of the bay. The collector communicates with the exterior by means of a set of water conduits (12) in the shape of a siphon. In this way a column of water of height h balancing the pressures between the interior and exterior of the premises is automatically constituted.
