The material (2) is deposited on a structure (5) combining an insulating layer (6, 9) with a resistive electrical conductor (5), ensuring that the electrical current reaches the adsorption device. Alternatively, the conductor is made of an electrically resistive conductor. An intermediate insulating layer (9) is placed between the absorbent and the resistive conducting layer of the structure, or the absorbent is deposited directly on the conducting layer. An Independent claim is also included for an electromagnetic wave detector, in particular infra-red, integrating a vessel under vacuum with at least one detection circuit for the waves or rays and containing such a device for absorbing residual gases.
