The cable gland has a ring fitting into an opening in a wall. The ring has a transverse flexible diaphragm (31) with a deformable hole (35) to allow passage of cables and seal around the cable (C). The diaphragm periphery has a flexible lip (30) and a semi-rigid ring (40) which has a fixing plate (41) and locking tabs. A collar (50) fits over the fixing, clamping the cable.
