The gland has a ring (3) which is passed through a hole (14) in a wall and retained by tongues that lock behind the wall. The ring houses a tubular sleeve (2) that is locked in rotation but can slide axially (19,11). A clamp nut (4) is pressed over a lip (23) on the ring, so an internal thread engages a thread (6) on the sleeve, compressing fingers (7) onto the outside of cable or conduit.
