The ancillary equipment consists of a guide (30) for drilling the humeral trochlea (T) along the geometrical axis (X -X') of the joint to be fitted, and comprises a stirrup (31) that can be fixed to the trochlea and has guide zones (35c, 33d, 36a) for a drill bit (40) to be driven through the trochlea along the line of the joint axis. The equipment also includes a staged template for determining the anterior offset of the joint axis in relation to the humeral diaphysis axis.
