The apparatus comprises two parallel tubular passages fixed to one another (9,10). The passage distal ends (2.2,3.2) are introduced into the patient's two nostrils. Each passage is provided with an auxiliary channel (15,16) emerging in the corresponding tubular passage and deflection means (2.3,3.3) located opposite the corresponding auxiliary channel. The auxiliary channels are supplied in parallel with ventilation gas.
