The suspension strut includes a moldable material which partially fills a chamber arranged against a cylinder (1). The moldable material contacts the sleeve (11) of a spring perch (3) to support the spring perch on the cylinder, when the moldable material is in the solid state. The spring perch is axially displaceable relative to the cylinder.
