The method involves recording and exploiting of a trajectory of a sample about the center coordinates by digital image processing. Correction coordinates are calculated from the recorded trajectory dynamically compensates the trajectory. The sample is moved with respect to corrected coordinates along one direction of translation, which is dynamically coupled, to movement of tilting axles. The method examines the sample kept in sample holder or table by the units of a goniometer movable in its position with the direction of translation. The units are also rotatable about a tilting axle according to center coordinates of goniometer determined by intersection of tilting axles. An Independent claim is also included for a device for the automatic relative adjusting of the position coordinates.
