The speed control system consists of a computer (3) programmes to process signals from an operating unit (2), advance (8) and direction (9) actuators, sensors (12, 13) for linear and sideways speed, and a road adhesion detector (16). The signals are processed according to kinematic laws controlling the movement of the vehicle and used to control the vehicle's speed on a bend to prevent oversteer or skidding by controlling the engine speed and brakes.
