In an apparatus for decontamination of liquid effluents (I) from medical analysis laboratories or hospitals, (I) is supplied to a first transfer tank then to a second decontamination tank in which (I) is mixed with decontaminant (II). The tanks have level detectors or sensors, and a dosing device supplies a predetermined flow of (II) into (I) flowing between the two tanks. In an apparatus for decontamination of liquid effluents (I) from medical analysis laboratories or hospitals, (I) is supplied to a first transfer tank then to a second decontamination tank in which (I) is mixed with decontaminant (II).
