The package for hygienic tampon (1) consists of a sealed sachet containing a moist wipe, wrapped round the tampon and sealed round the edges to enclose it completely. The sachet is made from outer (7) and inner layers of plastic film material, the outer layer being thicker than the inner one, and its opposite edges (10, 11) and ends (30, 31) are welded together. The sachet can be opened by a pull string or perforated line.
