The coin carrier (1) has a shallow cylindrical configuration and is equipped with eight receptacles located around the periphery. The receptacles have springs which press coins upwards against the upper contour (16) of the open upper face (20) and also slots (17) to provide coin extraction. A central circle is divided into sectors with numbers to indicate the corresponding coin values
