Capped feed-horn structure and a method for its manufacture

A feed-horn structure, and method of making the same, comprises a feed-horn 5 with a cap 6 moulded around one of the feed-horn's end openings. This structure may be used in a satellite receiving converter or antenna. The feed-horn 5 and cap 6 combination may be formed without stress whitening or cracking arising in the structure. The feed-horn 5 may be a cylindrical die-cast horn, a plated resin or sheet metal arrangement. The cap 6 may be a resin material formed by blow moulding. The feed-horn 5 and cap 7 may include mating portions 7 which prevent movement between the feed-horn 5 and cap 6.
