Electromagnetic interference reducing device in a refrigerator

An electromagnetic interference reducing device in a refrigerator minimises electromagnetic waves from a cable 60 which transmits signals from a control unit 40 to a display unit 30 that is installed on a door 22 of the refrigerator. The cable 60 may comprise of a plurality of cables wrapped within a conductive shield 70 so that electromagnetic waves generated from the cable cannot be radiated out. The shield 70 may be connected and electrically grounded (30g, fig 5) to the display unit 30 and may be connected and electrically grounded (40g, fig 5) to the control unit 40. The wrapped cable 60 is installed within a waveguide 50 to shield against high frequency electromagnetic waves. The waveguide 50 may be 'L' shaped and of rectangular cross section but may be other shapes and of other cross sections. The refrigerator may be an internet and home networking refrigerator.
