METHOD FOR ENHANCING IMAGE QUALITY OF IMAGE OF NATURALLY ILLUMINATED SCENE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for enhancing the image quality of an image of a naturally illuminated scene.;SOLUTION: A set of images I_i(x, y) is acquired of a scene first. Each image is acquired under a different uncontrolled illumination. For each image I_i(x, y), intensity gradients nabla I_i(x, y) are determined, and each image is weighted with weights according to the intensity gradients.
