PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a soil restoration method and to obtain a soil restoration agent for efficiently restoring soil contaminated with organic halogen compounds and hexavalent chromium by using iron particles.;SOLUTION: Particles which are coated with ferrous oxide or ferrous hydroxide, contain iron in a large amount and have each a large specific surface area are mixed with water, thus iron powder is shielded from air and the resultant mixture is put in a container and is transported to a working site. On the working site, the mixture is mixed with earth and sand containing the contaminant, and thereby the soil contaminant is rendered harmless.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI
