PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an operation method of a waste incinerator injecting a high-temperature gas into a combustion chamber, in particular, and to provide preferable characteristic and temperature of the injected high-temperature gas and a preferable injection method in a low air-fuel ratio combustion operation method.;SOLUTION: A waste gas is sucked by a blower 24 from the stream of the waste gas processing equipment 22 to be guided to a gas mixing device 25. The high-temperature air is guided to the gas mixing device 25 through a high-temperature air control valve 26, and the diluting air is introduced through a diluting air control valve 27. The gas mixing device 25 mixes the waste gas, high-temperature air and diluting air, and produces the high-temperature gas. The high-temperature gas is injected into a main combustion chamber 1. The high-temperature gas includes CO, steam and oxygen. Whereby unburned combustibles in a furnace can be heated by radiative heat transmission of CO and steam, the combustion can be stabilized, and the generation of CO and NOx can be reduced.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
