WATER-BASE UNDERCOATING MATERIAL COMPOSITION FOR REPAIRING AUTOMOBILE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a water-base undercoating material composition which is used for repairing an automobile and can form a coating film excellent in water resistance, polishing characteristics, adherence, and solvent resistance.;SOLUTION: The water-base undercoating material composition for repairing the automobile comprises essentially a water-dispersible anionic resin (A). The anionic resin (A) is obtained by polymerizing monomer components comprising 30-80 wt.% of styrene (a), 1-10 wt.% of a carboxylated monomer (b), and 10-69 wt.% of other ethylenically unsaturated monomer (c) [the total of the monomers (a), (b) and (c) being 100 wt.%] and has a glass transition temperature of 10-70C, and a solid acid value of 10-70 mgKOH/g.
