摘要

The hydrocarbons in three modern gasolines and in the exhaust products produced by burning one of the fuels in a laboratory engine were analyzed using gas chromatography -mass spectroscopy techniques. The gasolines were found to be mixtures of straight-chain,branched chain and cyclic aliphatic hydrocarbons,mono-and bi-cyclic aromatics and,at lower concentrations,aliphatic olefins. The carbon number distribution is predominantly between C3and C12. High concentrations of aromatic hydrocarbons were found to be present in all of the gasolines examined. Results of preliminary analysis of the exhaust gases are presented and discussed.
