PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a martensitic stainless steel sheet excellent in punching workability at a low cost, in which a prescribed quenched hardness is stably obtained and sag at punching-out time before quenching, is reduced, and to provide the martensitic stainless steel sheet for disk brake.;SOLUTION: A steel blank composed of the martensitic stainless steel containing, by mass%, 0.04-0.10% C + N, ≤ 0.5% Si, 0.5-2.5% (desirably 1.0-2.5%) Mn, 10.0-14.5% Cr, ≤1.0% Cu and ≤1.5% Ni, is hot-rolled and successively, annealed and cold-rolled at 2-15% rolling-reduction ratio. That is, to the steel sheet (steel strip) with mill scale after hot-rolling and annealing, the cold-rolling is applied at 2-15% rolling-reduction ratio and the hardness of the steel sheet is improved to desirably 83-100 HRB with work-hardening action and the elongation is lowered and then, the sag at the punching-out time is reduced.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
