PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stereoscopic image pickup device, a stereoscopic display device and a stereoscopic image pickup and display device capable of fine stereoscopic display from view points in a plurality of directions in a simple device constitution. PSOLUTION: The incident directions and intensities of the light beams made incident on a light reception part from the plurality of directions are correlated to attain video signals for each pixel and the emission directions and intensities of the light beams emitted from a light emission part are correlated on the basis of the video signals to emit the light for each pixel. The incident direction and emission direction of the light are selected by time division by an optical paths election element, a plurality of pixels are formed and thus images with parallax are picked up and displayed.
