DOUBLE PRINT INSPECTION METHOD AND DOUBLE PRINT INSPECTION MARK USED THEREFOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a double print inspection method capable of detecting automatically a double print printed on a print medium.;SOLUTION: An inspection region is monitored by a sensor, which is at least a partial region including both a print color part and a ground color part on a mark constituted of the print color part transcribed on the ground color of the print medium by using an ink in an inspection color and the ground color part which is a fixed region in the ground color linking from the border where the print color part is in contact with the ground color. When the ink is transcribed on the normal position which is a transcription position at the normal printing time on the ground color of the print medium and also a double print adhering to the position shifted from the normal position is generated, the ink adhering to a spot other than the normal position covers at least a part of the ground color part adjacent to the print color part transcribed on the normal position, and thereby an average concentration level different from the case at the normal printing time in the inspection region is detected, to thereby detect the double print.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
