PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To create a desired hole on a work in high precision and in a short period of time.;SOLUTION: At least one of voltage applied between an electrode and the work, electrical conductivity of liquid supplied between the electrode and the work in the middle of drilling the hole, and a gap distance between the electrode and the work, is controlled on an electric spark drill. Operation or quality of drilling of the hole is improved by control including operation of applied voltage and a contact stopping function, control including use of a consumable electrode, and control to enclose actuation of a guide mechanism.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI
