PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a family tree preparation method, a family tree preparation program, and a family tree preparation system for preparing a family tree for which image data are used. PSOLUTION: The family tree preparation system 10 is provided with an image file storage part 20 storing an image file constituting the family tree and an attribute data storage part 23 storing the family relation data of images. Also, the system is provided with a template storage part 21 storing the information of a template for which an image arrangement area for the image of a lineal line and the image arrangement area for the image of a collateral line are provided inside first-fifth generation arrangement areas formed for each generation of the images, and a management computer 15. The management computer 15 decides the number of the generation of the image and which one of the lineal line and the collateral line a family relation is by the family relation data of the image. Then, the image file is incorporated in the image arrangement area for the lineal line or for the collateral line corresponding to the family relation of the image inside the first-fifth generation arrangement areas corresponding to the number of the generation of the image file.
