PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of calculating, by a mathematical simulation, an index for quantitatively evaluating an agitation performance in the agitation process of molten glass.;SOLUTION: The conditions necessary for the agitation process are inputted to a molten glass model by a computer (S21), and the flow field of molten glass in the agitation process is obtained (S22). Next, a virtual tracer composed of N particles (N is an integer of ≥2) is generated at an optional position in the inlet of molten glass flow path with respect to the flow field (S23). Based on the optional position and the flow field, each trajectory of N particles flowed in from the optional position is obtained (S24).
