POROUS MATERIAL SHOWING STEAM ADSORBING/DESORBING BEHAVIOR AND ITS USE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a porous material which is suitable for a dryness preventing use and from which steam of ≥2.5% of its own weight is released in such a process that the relative humidity is changed from 40% to 30%.;SOLUTION: This oxide-based porous material is obtained by heat-treating powder of a crystalline hydroxide and has a porous structure having a pore size distribution of 1.2-1.6 nm radius and the function of releasing the steam of ≥2.5% of its own weight on the basis of the capillary condensation theory of Kelvin in such a process that the relative humidity is changed from 40% to 30%.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI
