PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a blood pressure-lowering agent that is a medicine with a naturally occurring dipeptide as an effective ingredient, especially has blood pressure suppressing activity, is highly safe, effective through oral administration (intake) and is used for medicines, food products authorized for specific health uses, health food products, and the like, and a production method therefor. PSOLUTION: The production method for the blood pressure suppressant comprises containing an angiotensin 2 converting enzyme inhibitory agent containing a dipeptide Val-Phe and its salt as the effective ingredient, growing a red koji yeast and processing an extract obtained by using it as a raw material by column chromatography.
