EGG SHELL CRACK DETECTOR, AND EGG AUTOMATIC SORTING SYSTEM EQUIPPED THEREWITH

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely detect an egg crack without imparting shock to an egg 1.;SOLUTION: A vibration source for obtaining information about the crack is secured without hitting an egg 1 with impact by touching a free end side of a continuously oscillating strip-shaped excitor 20 the egg 1 lightly. A receiver 30 is formed into a simple constitution wherein the free end moves only vertically around a support shaft as the center, by utilizing rotation structure of a conveyer roller 17, and a time-sequential data can be obtained while touching directly to the moving egg 1, upsetting the existing common knowledge. The obtained time-sequential data are converted into a frequency axis signal, the degree of the cracks is determined based on a feature of a spectral distribution, and a result determined therein is transmitted to a controller of the egg automatic selection system.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI
