PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an emission control apparatus of a diesel engine capable of reduce PM and NOx to the SULEV level by efficiently burning and removing PM and efficiently trapping NOx through a NOx trapping catalyst, and a hybrid vehicle equipped with the emission control apparatus. PSOLUTION: The emission control apparatus is equipped with an oxidation catalyst 21 installed in the exhaust gas channel of the diesel engine 1 having a high oxidizing capacity of oxidizing NO in the exhaust gas into NOSB2/SBat a first temperature or above; a filter 22 capable of catching PM from the exhaust gas and burning and removing the PM caught by the NOSB2/SBproduced through the oxidation catalyst 21; a NOx catalyst 23 capable of reducing and removing NOx in the exhaust gas; and an operation point setting means 30 for setting the operation point of the diesel engine so as to fix the exhaust gas temperature at or above the first temperature and to keep the PM content in the exhaust gas at or below a specified value.
