PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently and accurately calculate a pharmacokinetic parameter using a hepatocyte while estimating the interaction of a medical substance by this calculation method.;SOLUTION: This estimation method for the hepatic metabolic speed of the medical substance includes a process for measuring the metabolic capacity of a standard compound in respective lots of hepatocytes using the standard compound, serum and one or more lots of hepatocytes, a process for calculating a scaling factor from the known intracorporeal kinetic parameter and metabolic capacity of the standard compound, a process for selecting the lot of the hepatocyte used in the measurement of the metabolic capacity in a rear process on the basis of the scaling factor, a process for measuring the metabolic capacity of a compound to be examined using the selected lot of the hepatocyte and a process for estimating the metabolic speed of the compound to be examined in the liver from the metabolic capacity and the scaling factor.
