PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rice polishing and sorting apparatus and a rice milling machine capable of enhancing a rice polishing action.;SOLUTION: The rice polishing and sorting apparatus is provided with a screw conveyor which has a rice polishing and sorting cylinder 13 having a lot of sorting pores 13a on the bottom surface side and a screw roller 16 having helical brushes 14, 15 planted to a driving shaft 12, rotatively drives the screw roller in the rice polishing and sorting cylinder, excludes foreign matters such as immature grains and rice brans from milled rice charged by the helical brushes via the sorting pores and, transfers whole grains to the outlet side. The helical brushes are double strand brushes and has a first helical brush 14 to which thick and rigid brush hairs 14a are planted and a second helical brush 15 to which fine and soft brush hairs 15a are planted.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
