PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a refrigerant flow control device and control method in a refrigeration cycle using a supercritical refrigerant, preventing a cooling performance from deteriorating even when a vehicle is in a state of upward slope travel or low speed travel.;SOLUTION: The refrigerant flow control device controlling a refrigerant flow rate in the refrigeration cycle using the supercritical refrigerant, includes a variable displacement compressor 2, a gas cooler 3 exchanging the heat between the pressurized refrigerant and the outside air taken in by travel of the vehicle, an expansion valve 4 adiabatically expanding the refrigerant cooled by the gas cooler 3, an evaporator 5 evaporating the refrigerant adiabatically expanded, and a capacity control valve 6 capable of regulating the refrigerant flow rate of the compressor 2. The control device has a vehicle travel state detection means 8 detecting a travel state of the vehicle and a control means 9 regulating the capacity control valve 6 on the basis of detection results of this vehicle travel state detection means 8 and controlling the refrigerant flow rate in the refrigeration cycle into a proper value.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
