PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of extracting a larger number of sets of relevant terms in comparison with a system of extracting the sets of the relevant terms contained in a document group from verb phrases prepared beforehand. PSOLUTION: A relevant term extraction device 1 is characterized in that it performs a procedure which inputs and records a verb phrase indicating a relation or at least one of sets of the relevant terms, and a procedure which repeats a first extraction procedure and a second extract procedure by turns, wherein, the first extract procedure searches a sentence containing a verb phrase indicating a recorded relation from a document group, extracts and records the set of relevant terms included in the searched sentence, and the second procedure searches a sentence containing the sets of recorded relevant terms from a document group, extracts and records the verb phrase indicating the included relation in the searched sentence.
