PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a controlling composition capable of controlling plant pests belonging to the genus Sphaerotheca, genus Erysiphe, genus Podoshaera, genus Fulvia and genus Albugo, and ≥1 of other plant pests, especially plant pest of the genus Pseudoperonospora of Phycomycetes at the same time and economically without being affected with cultivation forms or controlling periods, and to provide a method for the same.;SOLUTION: The plant pest controlling agent is obtained by combining cymoxanil with a TPN (tetrachloroisophthalonitrile), and can control plant pests caused by the genus Sphaerotheca, genus Erysiphe, genus Podoshaera, genus Fulvia, genus Albugo and genus Pseudoperonospora at the same time. Since the controlling agent has a high effectiveness, can reduce its administering amount into an environment and also can be used without selecting the time for use, it is possible to obtain a high economical property such as reduction in the number of sprayings, and the like.
