PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide: an agent for reducing the resistance in a pipeline, which is used for reducing the frictional resistance when an aqueous medium flows in a pipeline, undergoes little reduction in the effect with time, can minimize the load on the environment in the disposal thereof, and can give a sufficient effect of reducing the resistance in a pipeline; and an aqueous medium containing the agent, particularly a circulating liquid for e.g. heat exchange, containing the agent.;SOLUTION: The agent for reducing the resistance in a pipeline consists of an amide-amine represented by the formula: R₁-CONH-(CH₂)_n-NR₂R₃ (wherein R₁ is an 8-24C alkyl or alkenyl group; R₂ and R₃ are each a 1-4C alkyl group; and n is an integer of 1 to 4), and an acid for neutralizing it.
