PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a concept retrieval system capable of easily retrieving documents in fields to be extracted by retrievers by allowing the documents to be specified by field to be extracted by the retrievers.;SOLUTION: The documents to be retrieved are classified beforehand, and a plurality of stem vectors used as dictionaries for vector operation are prepared for each field by the classification. By using the stem vector mostly suitable for input data for retrieval, the documents to be retrieved are processed for each classification. A stem vector preparation means prepares the stem vector for each field by dividing the fields in a dictionary preparation document group into a plurality of parts. The retrieved document vector preparation means prepares a retrieved document vector group for each field by dividing the retrieved field in the retrieved document group into a plurality of parts. The retrieval data includes retrieval sentences and the field data for specifying the retrieval fields. A vector operation means calculates vector operation values by using the retrieved document vector group and retrieval sentence vector based on the field data.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
