BED LIGHT USED IN HOSPITAL OR HEALTH HOME FOR THE AGED

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bed light whereby irradiating direction of light, which fits to the attitude of a patient reading a newspaper or a book in a bed of a hospital or a health home for the aged, can be smoothly selected with a simple operation and can freely select nearby brightness required as the patient desires by a dimming switch.;SOLUTION: This bed light is structured by a body 2 wherein an arm 6 capable of moving and rotating in a 360-degree arc and a lamp 7 are integrated. Since the body 2 rotates, a dimming switch 3 is assembled in the center part of the rotating shaft of the body so that it does not simultaneously rotate, and brightness can be selected as you desire by turning the dial of the dimming switch. A function as an all-night light is given to this bed light by providing a ring-shaped shinning part 4 so that a patient can easily find the position of the dimming switch. The irradiation direction of light can be finely adjusted by the flexible arm 6. A LED having low power consumption and a super long life is used for a light source 8.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
