PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve a physical distribution bottleneck diagnosis method and a diagnosis device, for a job shop type manufacturing line, which can evaluate a physical distribution bottleneck status of the manufacturing line quantitatively and can identify a physical distribution bottleneck which varies dynamically.;SOLUTION: In the job shop type manufacturing line comprising two or more manufacturing processes, the degree of correlation between the number of processing of every device and the total number of processing of the whole line is derived from the transition of the number of processing of every device comprising the job shop in a past fixed period and the transition of the total number of processing of the whole line (step S1), the physical distribution characteristic of every device is acquired by graphing a relation between the degree of the correlation and the ratio of the number of processing of every device to the total number of processing of the whole line (step S2), and a physical distribution bottleneck device is identified from the physical distribution characteristic (step S3).;COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
