PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To use a parking lot without having a membership card such as an IC card.;SOLUTION: A parking lot reservation system is provided with an electronic license plate 2 which is installed in a vehicle 1 and with which vehicle information is registered; an electronic license plate communication device 4 arranged on a vehicle passage 3 at the entrance gate of a parking lot; and a reserved vehicle management DB 5 which manages vehicle information with which the vehicle of a user who reserves the parking lot is registered. The vehicle information registered with the electronic license plate 2 is read by means of the communication between the electronic license plate communication device 4 and the electronic license plate 2, and whether or not the vehicle 1 with the electronic license plate 2 installed therein is the one for which the parking lot reservation is made is determined based on the contents thus read and the vehicle information managed by the management DB 5.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
