LUBRICATING OIL PASSAGE STRUCTURE IN CYLINDER BLOCK OF INTERNAL COMBUSTION ENGINE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily drill a communicating hole 9 communicating a head side oil passage 7 with a main gallery 5 in an internal combustion engine constituted in such a way that the main gallery 5 for lubricating oil is formed by casting using a core mold to extend it in the direction of crank axial line 2 and the head side oil passage 7 is formed by casting using a core mold to open it on an upper face 1a of a cylinder block 1 in a part adjacent to a side face 1b of the cylinder block in the cylinder block.;SOLUTION: A recessed part 8 in which the main gallery is opened is provided by overlapping the recessed part on the head side oil passage when viewed from the direction of crank axial line on the side face in the cylinder block.
