PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a material applicable for a large screen fluorescent display unit or the like and having excellent field emission characteristic.;SOLUTION: Molybdenum trioxide nano belt composed of molybdenum trioxide and having a ≥30 nm to ≤300 nm wide and 5 nm to 50 nm thick rectangular cross-section and the whole shape is belt-like is obtained by heating metal molybdenum foil at 800 to 1,000°C in the air to oxidize and vaporize the foil and depositing molybdenum trioxide on a silicon wafer arranged apart from the metal molybdenum foil by a prescribed distance and having a temperature lower than that of the metal molybdenum foil.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI
