PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for reusing waste gypsum boards, discarded after the use as interior materials for buildings, to recycle the waste gypsum boards as a road material. PSOLUTION: Waste gypsum boards are powdered, then solidified directly or with cement, powdered again, and mixed with a fine iron oxide powder and lime; thus obtained mixture is used as a soil stabilizer or a particle-size adjusting treated material. The soil stabilizer is prepared by mixing the waste gypsum board powder with the fine iron oxide powder and lime. A particulate aggregate prepared by mixing the waste gypsum board powder with cement, adding a suitable amount of water to the mixture to solidify it, and crushing the resulting cement-solidified product is used as a particle-size adjusting material for natural soil. A mixture of the particle-size adjusting material and natural soil is mixed with the fine iron oxide powder and hydrated lime to give the particle-size adjusting treated material.
