PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To express components of an invention so that they can easily be stored or to express them to be easily remembered.;SOLUTION: A description processing part 2 creates a component list 12 from record of a claim. A contraction expression creation processing part 4 extracts a KANJI (Chinese character) string or a KATAKANA (Japanese square syllabary) string positioned just before a word such as "means" and "section" from record of the respective components in the component list 12, and creates a contraction expression list 14 at every claim with the string as contraction expression of the component. A user displays the contraction expression list 14 held by a contraction expression holding part 6 and stores a content of the invention written in the claim.
