SCREW CAP HAVING SUPERIOR FUNCTION OF DEMONSTRATING OPENING HISTORY

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a screw cap having a ratchet-type TE band, which can be opened with a low opening torque, and the open of which does not leave the TE band on a container mouth but forces it to be removed from the container mouth, together with a cap body.;SOLUTION: The TE band 2 is divided into an open-turning part 2a and an open-restricting part 2b via a bending slit 17 having a first vertical portion, a communicating portion, and a second vertical portion. The open-turning part 2a is connected to the lower end of a skirt of the cap body via a wide bridge 15 that does not break upon opening the cap. The open-restricting part 2b has a stopper strip 22 inserted in a locking recession formed on the lower end surface of the skirt, and ratchets 20 engaged with projections formed on the outer surface of the container mouth. The open-turning part 2a and the open-restricting part 2b are coupled together via a breaking bridge 26 that breaks easily upon opening the cap.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
