PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of forming a film which secures the transparency and strength of the film and has photocatalyst enough function and other catalyst functions without needing skill and labor and a solution used in the method.;SOLUTION: The method of imparting photocatalyst function and other catalyst functions, is characterized in that a solution containing a catalyst such as titanium oxide which exhibits the photocatalyst function and other catalyst functions is applied onto a surface to be washed and polished and rubbed onto the surface. The particle size of the catalyst is 1μm or below. Water is used as the solvent of the solution. When a solid content is made the total weight excluding water, the incorporation of 80wt% or below of silicon dioxide or 50 wt% or below of cerium oxide is effective.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
